The second floor. As Ms. Farling explains the house's various features and rules, Anne looks around at the staff following them. They are all smiling at her intently. She sees her daughter's sneakers and backpack by the front door but still gets no response, so she walks up the stairs to Charlie's bedroom. When Mary Anne opens the door, she is shocked to discover her daughter lying in bed topless and kissing another girl! Charlie barely has a chance to look up before Mary Anne slams the door in disgust. What the hell was that?! She composes herself for a moment before barging back into the room and yelling at Charlie, as her and her girlfriend struggle to put their shirts back on. Charlie begs for her mom to calm down, but Mary Anne is beside herself. Is her daughter a lesbian? Under her roof? That's an abomination! She didn't raise her to be like that. The girl can't move out on her own. Mary Anne keeps fretting and pacing, arguing that Charlie has never disrespected her like that before. Slamming the door in her face like that! What she needs is an ultimatum! Steve jokes that what her daughter really needs is some dick. One time with a real man would put a stop to her dyky behavior. This makes Mary Anne pause. 'You're absolutely right,' she slowly says as they both hear the front door open and Charlie come back home.
CUT to Charlie walking up the stairs cautiously. It's been hours since she last saw her step-mother and she isn't sure what to expect. Despite being completely appalled by her reaction, Charlie still honors her mother and even fears her a little. After all, she is the one fully supporting Charlie. Mary-Anne is waiting, arms folded, by her bedroom door. The two women stare at each other for a moment before Mary-Anne tells her to come in. They need to discuss what happened earlier. Charlie nods and walks past her, as Mary-Anne shuts the door.
Charlie is somewhat surprised to see Steve there but, considering the boyfriend practically lives at their house now, she does what she normally does: ignores him. This is supposed to be between her and her mother. She takes a deep breath and starts to explain that the girl Mary-Ann caught her with is her girlfriend. They are in love and she has been trying to figure out how to tell her mom about it for months, but she was too afraid of her reaction. Mary-Anne cuts her off coldly and tells her to sit down. This is an intervention.
Summing up all her authority, Mary-Anne forbids her daughter from seeing her girlfriend anymore. She does not accept homosexuality, certainly not within her family. No daughter of hers, even a step-daughter, will ever be allowed to behave this way. Charlie starts to break down and, through angry tears, tell her mother that this is how she was born. This is who she is. She can't stop it. Fighting back tears herself, Mary-Anne continues by telling her daughter that if she does not respect her decision, that she will be obliged to kick her out of the house and take away the college funds she had set aside for her. Charlie freaks out, begging her mother to reconsider. She worked so hard to get into that school. She can't possibly cover the tuition and dorm rent on her own. What does she need to do to prove that being gay is just who she is? Steve, who has been watching TV the whole time in the background, nonchalantly pipes up and asks 'But ... how do you know that you're really gay?'
Charlie stops and turns to glare at him. 'I'm sorry,' she says angrily. 'I didn't realize anyone was talking to you, Steve!' Steve turns off the TV and edges to the end of the bed. 'But, seriously,' he continues. 'How do you know you're not just confused?' Mary-Anne chimes in to support her boyfriend, asking Charlie directly if she has ever even been with a man before. Charlie says no. Mary-Anne then challenges how she can know for sure if she's a lesbian if she's never tried to be straight. Charlie is shocked by this line of questioning. She argues with her mother that she doesn't need to do that to know. Well,' Mary-Anne demands. 'Until you have proven to me that you aren't straight, I can no longer support you, Charlie. Maybe if you tried to have normal sex with a man and you still didn't like it, I might change my mind. But, until then, I won't tolerate this unnatural behavior!' Charlie is seething in anger. She points a finger at Steve, who is awkwardly chuckling to himself behind them. 'And I suppose this is your idea of a man, mom?' she yells. 'Someone like Steve?!'
Mary-Anne stares at her boyfriend as an idea crosses her mind. 'Yes,' she says, turning back to her daughter. 'Exactly like Steve. In fact, why don't we just settle this debate tonight? Steve, take off your clothes!' Steve puts down the bowl of chips and asks what she's doing. 'You heard me,' she says, through her rage. 'You are going to fuck my daughter. Right now. Mary-Anne stands quivering with rage, trying to hold her position. Charlie breathes hard, her eyes not leaving her mother's. This is the ultimate betrayal. She starts to undo her shirt and throws it in a corner. She pulls off her sports bra and whips it in her mother's direction. Finally, as she pulls down her pants and her panties, she coldly turns to Steve and tells him to pull out his dick. He asks if she's she sure. She says yes. I've never felt drawn to expressing my own personal trauma in my porn because I generally find it a little inappropriate to air your dirty laundry online. However, when Bree approached me to write a story for Pure Taboo, I felt it was an opportunity to share my own experiences in a serious adult piece.
The parameters of my story stem from a recurring nightmare I had after being assaulted. I'd like to offer this project as my #MeToo, in that I wanted to create a story that women who've suffered trauma could feel empowered about watching.

It was my desire to thread the needle of empowering women while also placing my character in a seemingly dangerous or degrading setting to talk about how this juxtaposition can feel both complicated and pleasurable for viewers.
I hope, in the end, that Airtight Invasion will continue our industry's conversations about female empowerment and representation.
SCENE opens one night as a beautiful young woman named Veronica shuts down her family's house for the evening. Veronica is the daughter of a rich businessman with suspected ties to organized crime and she looks every bit like a mob boss' daughter, with a full face of makeup and flashy clothing. But, despite her grown-up appearance, Veronica is an anxious girl ... pacing through the different levels of her mansion and pleading with her father on the phone. 'You're coming with us,' one of them growls. Cut to black over sounds of rustling and resistance.
8 Hours Later. Veronica struggles to see. Something is over her head and she begs the men to remove it. They rip it off, a pillowcase, and, for the first time, she is exposed to her surroundings. She is being kept in a messy storage locker and surrounded by two of the men, who seem almost as anxious as she is. 'Who are you?' she mutters. The two men look at each other, before turning back. 'You are being held until your father pays us what he owes us,' one says. Veronica lowers her eyes in fear. Her hands are crudely tied together, and she winches at the ropes. 'Do you think you could please remove these?' She begs. 'I'm obviously not going anywhere.' The men look at each other again, debating what to do, before the other pops open a switchblade and cuts her hands free. 'You better sit still,' he meekly warns, 'or else!' Suddenly, a door opens and a third man, the eldest of the three, comes strutting in the room with a gun and a cell phone. He sees that Veronica is loose and immediately rushes over, leaving the door ajar, to berate the other men for untying her. They tell him to chill, she promised not to run, and besides ... they all know she has nowhere to go. Calming down, the third man gets right into Veronica's face and tries to intimidate her. He warns her not to cross them or try anything stupid. They are trained professionals. They don't care how they make their money at the end of the day ... and disposal is much easier than ransom negotiations. Veronica clams up and agrees with everything that the man, who is clearly the leader, says. He seems to take great satisfaction from this power trip and tosses the phone into the hands of the other two men. 'Use this burner, boys,' he barks, turning back and flashing a sadistic grin at Veronica. 'Time to call daddy!'
24 Hours Later. Veronica sits slumped in a corner, sweaty and anxious, while the men try to talk to her father. This is the fourth call they've placed since the heist, and her dad is sobbing on the other end of the line. He can put together some of the ransom but not everything they are asking for. They are being unreasonable, and he begs for leniency. He hasn't called the cops, after all. He is playing along. Finally, the leader hangs up on him angrily. This is not going as he had expected. He lashes out at the other two men, waving his gun around, and telling them that they are being too soft on the girl. If they had the balls to send her father a special delivery, it would wrap things up quickly. Veronica shrinks back and whispers that her father is just trying to negotiate. That's what he does. He's always been cheap. He has the whole amount. The leader grabs her. 'So, what the fuck do you recommend we try next, then?' He yells.
36 Hours Later. Veronica sits quietly in between the two men, as the leader yells into the phone. He is telling the father that he knows about the hidden safe in his office and all the reserves he keeps there. As they argue, Veronica tries to whisper a few key details to help the leader prove his point. The father claims he emptied that safe out months ago. There must be some other way. Without thinking, Veronica stands up and yells 'Dad, Please!' This causes the father to panic, hearing his daughter in distress. The leader hangs up the phone abruptly and spins around, as the other two cover her mouth and pull her back down to the ground. 'I told you not to do anything stupid!' He yells. Slowly, Veronica removes the hand from her mouth and says. 'That wasn't stupid, that was exactly what you needed. He's nervous. Now, you just have to make him terrified!'
48 Hours Later. The three men sit in a corner, away from the girl, debating over what to do. The two men are becoming very antsy, urging the leader to just get rid of Veronica and abandon the job. She watches and listens closely, biting her lip. The leader argues that they should stick it out, they just need to do something that will really fuck the man up and get him to cough up the whole amount. It needs to be a real threat, no more pussying around. The room goes silent. 'You should all fuck me,' Veronica says quietly. 'Do whatever the fuck you want. Just send my father the evidence. As soon as he sees his daughter like that, he will cooperate with you. No more pussying around.' The men look at each other in shock. 'Does she have Stockholm syndrome or something?' A final shot shows the father sitting, with a suitcase. A car pulls up and rolls down the window. It's Veronica -- dressed immaculately. She hushes her father and tells him it's ok, as a man in a black ski mask gets out of the car and collects the suit case. 'Will you let her go now?' the father pleads. As Veronica rolls the window back up, she hears the man pull the trigger and her father fall to the ground. The man in the ski mask gets back the front driver's seat and takes off his mask. It's Bruno. 'Where to now, Miss Veronica?' he asks politely. 'To the airport,' she replies.

A CU of a man's shoes. He taps his feet and shakes his legs as the camera slowly pulls up to reveal an anxious looking man named Robert sitting in a minimalist white office. It's been six months since his beloved wife and 18-year-old step daughter were killed in a car accident and the man is sick with grief. Despite the support of his family and friends, he has been hospitalized twice with severe PTSD and recently placed on a medical leave by his employer. It was his therapist, in fact, who insisted he sign up for this government program as part of his treatment. Robert runs his hands through his hair and wipes his face to get himself together, as the lead scientist and her team of staff enter the room.
The scientist greets Robert with great sensitivity, shaking the man's hand before extending it into a hug and introducing him to her team. She asks Robert to sit down again so they may begin the orientation. Taking her cue, one of the team members uses a tablet to cast a hologram screen beside the scientist (VFX*), as she begins speaking. She welcomes Robert formally to the ARTIFAMILY institute and starts to explain its history. It was founded in 2040 by Dr. Philip Bernard, a psychiatrist and futurist entrepreneur, who had a vision of using artificial intelligence to treat mental illness. Since Bernard's humble beginnings, ARTIFAMILY has evolved to become the leading treatment facility for victims of exploitation, emotional distress, and extreme bereavement. As the scientist explains their story, the screen beside her displays various images of Bernard and the ARTIFAMILY institute. Robert can only half-follow, visibly distracted and anxious about being there.
Taking a pause to gauge his reaction, the scientist continues to explain his case. As she talks about the tragic accident, images of his wife and smiling daughter come on the screen. Robert looks sick, having to put his head between his knees at a certain point. The scientist signals another team member, who brings the man a silver can. Robert sips it meekly as the scientist goes on to discuss his subsequent PTSD diagnosis, work leave, and therapist recommendations. She empathizes about how hard it is for humans to retain employment and that he is lucky his corporation is so supportive. He has no expression.
Kneeling beside him, the scientist sympathetically reminds him that today is the first step in his healing process. ARTIFAMILY specializes in creating android clones of deceased loved ones so that no one must suffer the loss of losing someone too soon ever again. Their team of scientists were able to upload and digitize their brain cells to construct an exact clone, using machine learning and patented algorithms to generate a personality match from the digital data. Apart from a small microchip behind the left earlobe, you would never know that ARTIFAMILY members weren't human. As she tells Robert about the program, the screen displays various sales pitches and stock images of androids being built. Robert stares at them in disbelief. The scientist signals her team to leave the room and they file out obediently, the hologram screen closing as they exit.
'Mr. White,' she says quietly. 'In compliance with the AIX act, I need to inform you that we are only legally allowed to dispatch one android clone per household. Since you did not specify your preference in the initial application, we have taken the liberty to generate the more viable of the two candidates. I hope it will suffice.' Robert looks at her blankly, asking what she means by 'viable' as the team re-enters the room behind them. They are escorting the android daughter, who stands rigidly between them in a white tank top and white shorts. 'Daddy,' she whispers. Robert freezes. His eyes well up as he slowly turns around to see the perfect likeness to his daughter. She looks expressionless for a moment before smiling and laughing. 'It's so good to see you,' she says cheerfully. He staggers over to her, feeling her face, her arms, her legs, and exclaiming inaudibly before collapsing at her feet in tears. The team look amongst themselves proudly as the scientist shows off the girl's features, including her seamless movement, integrated computer system that is both wireless and SMART, and a discreet on/off function. She reminds Robert of the paperwork he needs to sign before they can leave. In a state of euphoria, he happily agrees to sign whatever papers are necessary to get his precious girl home.

Cut to Robert opening the front door with his luggage and ushering his daughter inside. Cautiously and not willing to let go of her hand, he calls her by name (Jessica) and asks if she remembers their home. She steps inside, turns around, and smiling nods her head -- telling her father the exact date and time he and his late wife moved their family into the house, along with the property's coordinates: 34.0259 N, 118.7798 W. Robert's smile wavers; a small, stinging reminder that Jessica is not quite the same. He asks if she wants to see her room again and, after a slight pause, she eagerly nods and gives him a giant hug. They exit.
Cut to Jessica entering her bedroom. She turns around and asks curiously why he didn't take her to his room. Robert reminds her that she has her own room. 'But I snooze with you when I don't want to be alone,' she says, stepping into him for a hug. He winches again, looking at the subtle microchip tattooed behind her ear as he holds her. 'Yes sweetheart,' he says. 'But that was when you were little. You're 18-years-old now.' She looks up at him. 'The legal age of consent to fuck with another person in the state of California is 18 years old, daddy, so, I'm going to fuck you!' She grabs his crotch.
