Maitland connects again with the costar with whom she's played this evening's game. As she runs a straight-edged razor across his throat to make herself a smoother seat, Seth introduces his offering. He says, "I know bodies won't impress you, but you've always been a sucker for context," and with that delivers to Maitland what he knew she'd been holding out for: a DP with the two men she's only ever allowed to play coy with on screen. The pair return to the set of their sitcom, where Mick waits patiently. Maitland pulls him up by the throat and sizes him up as she snarls, "Make it count". Part 5 of 5

Little Dragon reminds Maitland of her former self: a young redhead feigning modesty while all the signs of a much richer life are hiding in plain sight. Scaring her into not losing any more time, Maitland creates a new game. She raises the stakes so that this younger woman is either forced to lie and forgo a life-changing sum of cash or admit something about herself in order to keep the riches. Part 3 of 5

At a premiere the same night, one of Maitland's costars invites her to come home with him. Her response is that she'll only come to him if he can present her with something better than what she might find herself, and so sets off adrift through a seedy urban nightscape in this game they've created. Maitland's next mark is easy. He's already watching her. Part 2 of 5

Now well into a successful career and a stale relationship, a woman who used to spend her summers as a lifeguard takes a late night swim to clear her head. When a stranger from her building makes an offhand comment about what a dream she must have been to all the boys like him back then, she picks up a whistle to show him.

A woman watches the rise and fall of her brief fling as an audience before a stage.
