Once upon a time in the land of men's magazines, if a model was married or had a boyfriend, the readers never found out about it. The idea was that the readers wanted to fantasize that the model could be their girlfriend or wife...that she wasn't taken...that she wasn't going home to some other guy. So, men's magazine editors weren't going to ruin the fantasy. This remained the practice long after American Pie, the movie that made MILFs-and, therefore, someone else's woman-sexy. But somewhere around the middle of the last decade, things changed.
